"These shoes are absolutely stunning and very well made, but please be warned. . . order your correct size. Before ordering these shoes, I read most of the reviews. I found several purchasers who said that they tend to run a bit small, and to order up 1/2 size. Because I have a very wide foot, I took their advice, and now I have a pair of shoes that are actually too long. The heel slips up and down when I walk. However, due to the width of my foot, the outer tip of my big toe presses on the side of the shoe. To counter the rubbing and the length, I stuffed the tip of the toe box with some polyester stuffing, wrapped in a piece of silk. Stuffing the toe keeps my foot back further in the shoe, which eliminates both the rubbing of the toe and the slipping of the heel."

I have been watching these booties to go on sale. Previously, it stated that heel can be cut down to 2 inches (which is what I want) but I do not see it now. Is that option still available?

I'm getting to the point that heels are to hard to wear and my only hope is orthotic shoes. (Boo!) How comfortable are these shoes for someone who can't quite give up her heels but eventually probably needs to? ;)

Hello. I normally wear size 8 but I have a wide foot. Can your shoes accommodate wide feet? Should I order a half-size up?
Hi Wendy, Thank you for your question. Normally, we make our shoes to fit the medium foot width. We do not make shoes in wide usually but can accommodate a slightly wider foot. Additionally I'd like to let you know that the leather stretches between 1 - 2 cm. More so in flats and sandals than in boots. Please mention your circumference (around the balls of your feet) in the comment section at checkout.
I’m keen on the spirit walker booties but have never bought Elf shoes before and am uncertain about the sizing (especially for final sale items). My largest foot is 22.6cm in length and I have a narrow-normal width. I am normally a 5.5 or a 6. Can you offer any advice about sizing? Thanks!
