Amazing shoe, but tricky sizing

"These are gorgeous, high-quality shoes, and I absolutely adore them. The only issue I had with them was the sizing, which took me 3 pairs to get right. I am normally a 9. 5 US in heels in a 10 US in flats. Based on the sizing guide and other reviews, I decided to size up to 10. 5 to accommodate thick socks, which was huge on my foot. I tried a 10, which was also too large, and then finally a 9. 5 which is perfect, even with thick socks. These are handmade and made of natural leather so the shoes are very stiff and smooth in the beginning, which means if there’s too much wiggle room, your foot will slide out of the shoe very easily. Based on my experience, I would not recommend sizing up, and if anything sizing down if you’re in between sizes. The returns/exchange process is not ideal in the US; the item gets returned to a US-based shipping center and it appears they don’t keep track of what’s coming in. Both times I sent exchanges back, *I* had to follow up with them about my return, and had to provide them with a tracking number to get my exchange started. My items sat “returned” for weeks before I reached out, so this added even more time to the exchange process. It took months, from start to finish, to receive the right size shoe, having facilitated 2 exchanges."

Lovely but size up!

"They are beautiful shoes, but the recommended size did not fit properly. I obsessed for a while over what size to get and ended up following the size chart, but they were way too tight on the toes. It wasn’t a matter of needing to let the leather stretch either, because they were so snug that they made my toes go numb. I do not have wide feet, just normal width. Again, gorgeous shoes, but be mindful about size."

Run large

"At least a half possibly full size too large, but the closed toe sandals I purchased same day fit exactly right. They seem like they would be super comfortable if they did fit though and are beautiful. Returns are not simple."

Q&A

Hello, I love the look of the Brooklyn leather loafer but I have trouble finding a loafer to fit. I have standard Medium width feet but a very narrow heel, and loafers always slip off the back of my foot. Can this shoe have a narrower heel without making the toe box narrower? Thank you.

However, some customers with similar concerns have found that using heel grips or inserts helps with fit, especially for loafers that tend to slip in the heel area. Hello Leather soles are very important to me. I need leather so I can dance. Please explain the construction of your leather and rubber soles.

While rubber soles offer more grip, we understand the importance of leather soles for dancing. We can make them without rubber outsole specially for you so you can use them as dancing shoes.
